Extinguisher Servicing

Fire extinguishers require annual service by a certified company in order to ensure their proper operation. We are certified by FPC LTD to perform all services related to maintaining, repairing, and replacing fire extinguishers.

Beyond the annual service of fire extinguishers, there is typically a six year and twelve year maintenance required. The six year maintenance is a physical breakdown of the fire extinguisher and examination of all internal and external components. The twelve year maintenance includes everything performed during the six year maintenance plus a 'Hydrotest' of the extinguisher. The hydrotest includes filling the cylinder with water and pressurizing the cylinder to three times the normal working pressure of the extinguisher. These maintenance intervals are vitally important as extinguishers that have not had the appropriate maintenance performed may not work properly during a fire.
